The MREF will be hosting a Silent Auction on July 23-30, 2026, in conjunction with the Quirk’s Event – New York. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will help us transform the lives of children through education.

​What We’re Looking For:

We are honored that you are considering donating an item to the 2026 MREF Silent Auction. We are seeking one-of-a-kind experiences.

 

Experience examples include:

  • Weekend getaway or travel package

  • VIP concert or sporting event tickets

  • One-year premium wine club subscription

  • Private chef dinner for four

  • Behind-the-scenes tour or guided experience

  • Exclusive meet-and-greet opportunity

  • Golf for four at a premier course (e.g., Liberty National, Pebble Beach)

Accepted: Unique, high-value items or memorable VIP experiences 
Not accepted: Product swag, demos, discounts, gift baskets, electronics

 

Your donated experience will receive multichannel visibility:

  • Featured on the online auction platform

  • Displayed on the Silent Auction table at the Quirk’s Event – New York

  • Highlighted in auction promotional emails

Donor Benefits
When you donate an experience, you will receive the following: 

  • Your company identified on the Silent Auction platform and MREF website

  • Your company included in auction promotional emails

  • Your logo displayed at the on-site auction table

  • Brand alignment with MREF’s mission in supporting underserved students

  • Invitation to exclusive kickoff party (invite only)

Donor Requirements
To ensure compliance and smooth auction operations, donors must provide:

  • Detailed item description and photo(s)

  • Fair market value (FMV) of item

  • Any restrictions, blackout dates, or expiration terms​​​​​

  • Q: What time will the auction open online?

    • A: The silent auction bidding will open on Thursday, July 23 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

  • Q: What time will the auction close online?

    • A: The silent auction bidding will close on Thursday, July 30 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

  • Q: What type of items will be available for bidding?

    • A: We are gathering a variety of items including sports tickets and unique experiences.​ 

​

  • Q: Do I need to attend the Quirk's Event - New York* in person to bid or win an item?

    • A: No, the auction is entirely virtual so in-person attendance is not necessary to bid or win. All items will be distributed after July 31, once the auction is closed. *Please note that the Quirk's Event is a ticketed event that is run separately from MREF auction registration. ​​​​

 

  • Q: What will be taking place in New York? 

    • A: We will be displaying all the items/descriptions in our booth (donated by Quirk's Media). ​

  • Q: I'm interested in donating an item. How can I do that?
