SAINT PAUL, Minnesota – The Marketing Research Education Foundation (MREF) will host its first Month of Service for the marketing research and insights industry. Throughout the month of January 2023, MREF community members will organize service groups across multiple locations to help researchers make an impact.
To participate, you can choose to volunteer at your favorite local nonprofit organization, find a group of marketing research professionals in a service group near you or host your own service group and invite friends, family or colleagues to join!
“The MREF’s Month of Service is an excellent opportunity for companies and individuals to create a volunteering opportunity from the ground up. The goal of the MREF is to make a positive impact on children in need. MREF has been a personal passion of mine, and one equally supported by our organization. The Month of Service is a great way for researchers to identify the needs in their own communities and make a difference,” said Steve Schlesinger, executive chairman, Schlesinger Group, and MREF founding executive board member.

What do you need to host a service group?
Location – Reach out to your favorite local organizations, or contact email@example.com for suggestions on where to start.
Volunteers – Utilize your network to inspire your fellow researchers to get involved. The MREF will provide graphics and template text to start promoting your volunteering opportunity on social media and e-mail. The MREF will post your volunteering opportunity to its website at mrgivesback.org/volunteer.
Contact – Create a way for volunteers to sign up so you can keep them informed about your opportunity or have a dedicated contact for your group.
